The network of 540 civic groups against tuition hikes and opposition political parties lashed at the government for threatening to place arrest squads, which they compared to those who clamped down on students during democratization movements in the 1980s. “(The government) must immediately withdraw its plan to station the arrest team and come up with fundamental solutions for the tuition hike.”(The Korea Herald 2008.03.29)
